Owens Corning Duration Roof Replacement in Maitland

The roof steps down from a broad upper hip to lower hip sections on several sides of the house. Owens Corning describes TruDefinition Duration as an architectural asphalt shingle made with several granule colors and shadowing for a dimensional appearance. The line also includes the manufacturer’s SureNail technology, which places a woven reinforcing fabric in the shingle’s nailing area. On the Maitland property, that named shingle line extends across the main roof and the attached lower sections.

The upper and lower roof planes appear together across much of the home’s exterior, making the shingle field a prominent part of the finished roof. The same Duration line carries across the broad upper hip, the lower garage roof, and the smaller attached sections. That continuity is easiest to see where the roof elevations step down around the chimney and sides of the house.
