FULL ROOF REPLACEMENT

Working With an Older Wood Roof Deck

This DeLand home, built in 1905, needed a new roof in connection with an insurance requirement. The replacement included repairs to varied wood sheathing and new roofing on both sloped and flat areas.

The old home had several types of wood sheathing beneath the roofing. During the replacement, the crew removed and replaced many of the boards before installing the new roof.

The crew installed IKO shingles on the sloped sections and CertainTeed Flintlastic on the flat roof areas.

The completed work left the 1905 house with a new sloped roof and a new flat roof.
