COMPLETED ROOFING PROJECT

Starting at the Roof Deck

A leaking roof led to a full roof replacement at this Margate property. The work included deck repairs, added ventilation and separate materials for the shingle and flat-roof sections.

The replacement began with a full tear-off to the deck. The crew replaced deteriorated boards before the new roofing went on and added roof ventilation as part of the work.

The crew installed CertainTeed Landmark shingles on the shingle sections and Flintlastic modified roofing on the flat section.

For a roof that combines shingles and a flat section, the proposal should identify the material assigned to each surface.

A replacement scope should state whether the old roofing will be removed to the deck and how deteriorated boards will be handled if the crew finds them. It should also list ventilation work and the roofing material for every section.
